Lift Tickets

A single lift ticket to Aspen Snowmass provides access to 5,500+ acres of some of North America’s best terrain. When you buy your lift tickets at least seven days ahead of time, you’ll score the best pricing and experience, all season long. Save up to $50 a day on four or more days and up to $30 a day for 2-day and 3-day lift tickets. Aspen Snowmass is prepared to limit its capacity to protect our guest experience during busy periods when lift tickets can potentially sell out. Throughout the 2022–2023 season, be rewarded with smaller wait times and bigger ski days when you opt to ski or ride on weekdays.

Renting ski gear from Four Mountain Sports

For the entire 2022–2023 season, when you book your rentals with Four Mountain Sports at least 48 hours in advance, you’ll save 20%. Four Mountain Sports is the only outfitter conveniently located at the base of all four mountains with free overnight equipment transfers and easy storage, making gearing up easy, so you can spend more time on the mountain.

Buttermilk Renovation

Buttermilk groomed runs before it opens in early morning
Buttermilk spent the summer transforming its base area. While the mountain will be open to skiers, riders, and uphillers on December 17, some of the new base area facilities, including the Guest Services building, are slated to open fully in mid-January. Until the base area is complete, skier (guest) services will still be available at Buttermilk—including rentals, lift tickets, ski school, and retail—on a limited basis. Making arrangements in advance will ease your transition to the slopes while construction is ongoing. Learn how you can make the most of your experience at Buttermilk this season.

Getting Here & Getting Around

Buses & Shuttles

Ride RFTA this Winter! Getting around the Aspen Snowmass area is simple and convenient. RFTA, our local system of public-transport buses, is timely, efficient, and features free routes between Aspen and Snowmass Village. Park at the Brush Creek Park and Ride lot for service to both towns, our four mountains, and everywhere in between.

Driving & Parking

Getting around the Aspen Snowmass area is simple and convenient. We offer comprehensive guidance on everything from our efficient bus system to renting a bike to how much a parking meter costs on a Tuesday afternoon. If you’re planning to drive to the slopes, check parking options and locations before you go. The Aspen Snowmass App and our website will provide the latest information on daily parking availability and status.

Roaring Fork Express

New this season, skip the rental car and winter highway driving for your upcoming trip. Book a shuttle or charter with Roaring Fork Express to and from Denver International Airport or Eagle Count Airport.

Arriving at the Resort

Ticket Pick Up

You can purchase tickets and passes and complete your order entirely online to keep you out of the ticket office and onto the slopes. Pick up those Aspen Cards at our contactless Pickup Boxes located at each mountain. If you have already purchased tickets or passes online, you can follow these steps:

  • When you arrive at the mountain, locate a Pickup Box
  • Open up the Aspen Snowmass App to access your QR code
  • Scan QR code
  • Your ticket(s) and pass(es) will print automatically
  • If you would prefer the guidance of our staff, our ticket offices will be open to assist you with

Purchased through Stay Aspen Snowmass? Skip the ticket office and print your Aspen Cards at one of our conveniently located Pickup Boxes at the base of all four mountains. Grab your phone, find your purchase confirmation email, and scan the barcode located at the top of the email at the Pickup Box.

Rental Pick Up

Four Mountain Sports will continue to offer you the many benefits it is known for, including the only rental shop with locations at the base of all four of our mountains, free ski storage, and free ski transfer to the mountain of your choice. Alongside safety, we are also here to help make your rental process as fluid as possible.

The teams will be implementing new concepts during the rental process with the goal of minimizing contact with our boot fitters and ski technicians. This all means a smoother time getting your gear set up so that you can get to the good stuff faster. Powder turns, groomer runs, bump turns here you come.

Also, Four Mountain Sports will conveniently deliver and pick up your ski and snowboard rentals directly to and from your home or hotel in the Aspen and Snowmass Village area for a $200 delivery and pick-up fee.

Lessons

Guests can complete required forms in the Account Portal before arriving in order to unlock a more contactless and faster drop-off or meet-up. Anyone 17 and under must complete the Ski & Snowboard School waiver.

Q: What are the 2022-2023 season dates?

A: We’ll open Aspen and Snowmass Mountain for the winter season on November 24, 2022.

Q: How do I use my multi-day lift tickets?

A: Multi-day lift tickets must be used within 10 days.

Q: For how long are lift tickets valid?

A: 1-day tickets are valid for the date specified only. 2–7-day tickets are valid out of a 10-day window from the start date specified.

Q: Why is it more expensive to ski on weekends?

A: We have priced our tickets and passes in a way to help incentivize skiing during non-peak periods, both week-to-week and for the entire season. This strategy is designed to spread the flow of guests and help manage capacity so that we can operate safely and provide the best guest experience. By booking your multi-day trip in advance, you’re guaranteed to unlock the best deals!

Q: How do I bypass the ticket office and minimize in-person contact this season?

A: Purchase your lift tickets, lessons, rentals and activities online or by phone. Skip the ticket lines and pick up your Aspen Card at any of our Pickup Box locations. Before you leave home, visit the new Aspen Snowmass Account Portal and take care of all the details that will make your trip seamless once you arrive in-resort. Sign digital waivers, update your profiles, and access confirmations all from the comfort of your home. The portal will lead you through a simple step-by-step process to cover all your bases including instructions on downloading the Aspen Snowmass App before you arrive.

Once you arrive, the updated Aspen Snowmass App will give you access to everything you need to enjoy your trip. Add additional days to your lift ticket, purchase lessons and rentals, order food at select on-mountain restaurants, sign waivers, and access in-App rewards and Passholder Benefits. You can still access all of your favorite App features including tracking skier days and bowl laps, checking snow reports, weather, parking lot status, and more.

If you would prefer, we’re always here and happy to assist you at one of our ticket office locations with appropriate safety measures in place this winter.

Q: What’s your refund policy on lift tickets?

A: All completely unused lift tickets (I.E., all 4 days of a 4-day lift ticket have not been used) are fully refundable back to the original form of payment. The monetary value on partially used lift products (I.E., 3 days of a 4-day lift ticket have been used) can be rolled over for use of purchases made for on-mountain products the following season (lift tickets, rentals, lessons and season passes).

Q: Are reservations required to ski or ride at any Ikon Pass destination?

A: For the 2022-2023 winter season, lift reservations will be required at Aspen Snowmass, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Big Sky Resort, The Summit at Snoqualmie, Loon Mountain, Taos Ski Valley, and Brighton Resort. Reservations can be made in MyAccount on ikonpass.com once your Ikon Base Pass has been issued. Please note, Ikon Base Passes do not provide access to Aspen Snowmass or Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.

Q: Are reservations required to ski or ride at Aspen Snowmass with a Mountain Collective Pass?

A: Yes, lift reservations to ski and ride are required during the 2022-2023 ski season to help manage capacity and improve the guest experience. Reservations will be available starting mid-September.

Q: When and where will I meet my ski or snowboard Pro?

Q: Are Private Lessons and Guided Experiences limited to 5 people?
A: Yes, Private Lessons and Guided Experiences have been, and will continue to be, limited to 5 people. This provides the best experience for our guests.

Q: How can I prepare for my trip ahead of time?
A: Guests can visit the Aspen Snowmass account portal or the Aspen Snowmass App to complete Ski & Snowboard School waivers and registration forms prior to all lessons and clinics. Signed waivers are required for all guests age 17 and under in order to participate in lessons.

Q: Are reservations required for Ski and Snowboard School Lessons or Clinics?
A: Yes. Reservations are required for all Ski and Snowboard School products, including Clinics, Group Lessons, Private Lessons and Guided Experiences. We strongly encourage reserving at least 7 days in advance. Reservation can be booked online at shop.aspensnowmass.com or by calling one of our agents at 877-308-7859.

Q: When I book a Private Lesson or Guided Experience, what can I expect in terms of added perks?
A: Guests who book a Private Lesson or Guided Experience can set the meeting time and location as well as curate their experience and agenda for the day with the insight and knowledge from their Pro. Lessons also give priority line access when loading our chairlifts and gondolas. Lift ticket and rentals are purchased a la carte.

Q: Is Child Care available this year?

A: Yes, we are pleased to be able to offer child care at the Treehouse Kids' Adventure Center during the 2022-23 season for our youngest guests, ages 8 weeks to 4 years. Child care is available for purchase in resort, however, advance reservations are strongly recommended as space is limited. Child care is not available to purchase online please call one of our agents at 877-308-7859.

Q: Do child lessons still include lunch?
A: Yes, all full-day, group lessons, ages 12 and under include lunch. Private lessons are excluded.

Q: Are you still providing storage and transfer with Private Lessons and Guided Experiences this year?
A:
Yes, Private Lesson and Guided Experience guests will still be able to store and transfer their skis, snowboards and poles to the mountain of their choice for free.

Q: Will the Treehouse Kids’ Adventure Center and the Hideout at Buttermilk be open for children’s group lessons?
A: Yes, these facilities will still serve as a home base for ages 2.5- to 4-year-old group lessons for all guests. All safety protocols will be followed when children are indoors.

Q: What’s your cancellation policy on Ski School?
A: All Ski and Snowboard School products canceled or changed 48 hours or more in advance are fully refundable.

Equipment Rentals

Q: Do I need to pick up my rentals the day of?
A: No. You can save time and hit the slopes sooner by picking up your rentals the day before, after 2:00pm.

Q: Are helmets included in the package pricing?
A: Helmets are not included in package pricing, but may be rented separately as an à la carte item.

Q: Will you be offering transfer of rentals this season?
A: Yes, transfer of your skis, snowboards and poles from mountain to mountain is available, free of charge, for guests that rent through Four Mountain Sports. There is a fee for guests who would like their personal equipment transferred.

Q: Will there be personal storage options in your stores this year?
A: There is no personal item storage inside Four Mountain Sports locations. There may be nearby lockers available for purchase. Additionally, we encourage our guests to pick up their rental equipment after 2pm the day before you want to hit the slopes so you can leave from the comfort of your residence the next day.

Q: What is your refund policy on rental products?
A: All unused rentals products are fully refundable through May 23, 2022. Refund will be returned to the original form of payment.

Q: Do you wax skis and snowboards before guest use?

A: Yes. We have applied Phantom, a permanent base treatment, to all rental skis through Four Mountain Sports. No matter what the conditions are on the slopes, Phantom will provide amazing glide performance across all snow temperatures. Unlike traditional wax’s that rub off and mix in the snow, Phantom doesn’t cause biological damage and doesn’t present any long-term environmental risks. Phantom is also available for guests to add to their gear tune.


Q: How do I know my boot size for ski and snowboard rentals?

Boot sizing differs from US shoe sizing and you should consult our boot sizing chart to select the best boot size to suit your feet.
