At Aspen Snowmass, we are grateful to have the vast wilderness of the Elk Mountains as our playground, and wide open spaces to recreate in. Thankfully, social distancing is a natural part of a life lived outside. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re also putting in place procedures that will keep our guests, employees, and community safe and healthy.

Lost Forest

Tucked in among the trees and rocks are an alpine coaster, zip lines, biking trails, ropes challenges and climbing walls. There are ponds to fish in, creeks to hike along, places to enjoy nature alone or in groups, two disc golf courses and passionate guides to help you find your next adventure.

Our gondolas are the perfect way to quickly climb a mountain and take in the view. Access free outdoor activities, miles of trails and delectable on-mountain dining from the top.

Sightseeing will be available at Buttermilk (weekends Friday - Sunday, 5/29 - 6/20), Aspen Mountain (daily 7/2 - 9/6; weekends Friday - Sunday 9/10 - 10/3), and Snowmass (daily 6/21 - 9/6; weekends Friday - Sunday 9/10 - 10/3).

Snowmass Bike Park encompasses much of the Elk Camp section of Snowmass in summer, offering 2,897 vertical feet of purpose-built downhill trails. But the bike park is not just for gearheads. Beginner terrain is ideal for families and first timers. Come cruise through the forests and meadows and see for yourself.

For a child vacationing at Aspen Snowmass in summer, we offer the perfect time and place to foster a lifelong love of the outdoors. From ages 5 to 15, kids can explore mountain biking, go on a nature hike, build a model rocket or try something radical, like mountainboarding. Just imagine the stories they will share with friends when they return home. And besides: sometimes, Mom and Dad just need a day to themselves.

Join us for a wild game of outdoor paintball at Snowmass. Outside the Lost Forest, groups can launch strategic campaigns in our paintball arena. Each player has 300 washable and biodegradable paintballs to take out the opposition, and plenty of man-made and natural features to utilize. Equipment, transportation and 2,000 paintballs provided. We are all living in a world full of uncertainties. While Aspen Snowmass cannot guarantee you a risk-free experience, by each taking personal responsibility, respecting each other and adhering to all local, regional and state health and safety guidelines we can collectively reduce the risks to our guests, our employees and our community. If you cannot follow these policies and procedures, you will be asked to leave Aspen Snowmass property.
- Wear a face covering when you cannot maintain 6 feet of physical distancing outdoors, in designated areas and when inside Aspen Snowmass buildings.
- Adhere to Pitkin County social distancing regulations.
- Stay home if you are sick or at high risk.
- Leave immediately if you begin to show signs or symptoms of illness.
- Recreate within your ability to reduce the chance of injury.

In these times we all must make decisions that work for ourselves and consider our own risk profile. We look forward to having you join us at Aspen Snowmass this summer, but want to make sure that you do so fully informed and in a manner that works for you.

Cancellation Policy
Completely unused Snowmass Bike Park , Sightseeing, and Lost Forest Base tickets are refundable. Lost Forest Canopy, Treeline, and Bonus Night Base Tickets require 48-hour cancellation notice. No refunds due to weather if operations remain open. No partial refunds.

Weather Policy
Summer weather in the Rocky Mountains is unpredictable and out of our control. As a result, we do not offer refunds due to weather impacts on our operation. Please check the forecast while planning your activities.
