With incredible mountain biking, road biking, and miles of spacious bike paths ideal for cruising on one of the perfect summer days we're known for, there's no better place to get outside on two wheels than Aspen Snowmass.

In fact, in 2020, the entire Roaring Fork Valley was deemed a Gold-Level Ride Center by the International Mountain Bike Association, which honors the world's best destinations for mountain bikers of all levels. Get your adrenaline pumping on some on-mountain downhill trails at Snowmass Bike Park or just cruise around our picturesque valley and enjoy the sights. You can't go wrong here.

Let's start with the basics. What type of biking are you interested in doing?

Downhill Mountain Biking

If you're an adrenaline junkie excited to charge into the Snowmass Bike Park, a downhill bike sounds like the right fit for you. Downhill bikes are built for stability and durability, made for steep and rocky terrain, and might add a little weight in order to achieve it. A downhill bike is your best bet to enjoy your day in the park safely and avoid (some) bumps and bruises. All downhill bike rentals come with a helmet and pads.

Mountain Biking

If you're planning to explore the many cross-country mountain bike trails in the area, a mountain bike is probably the right bike for you. Lighter than downhill bikes, mountain bikes will save you some extra work while you're climbing uphill between downhill sections, allowing you to get more out of your day and your legs!

Cruiser Biking

Cruiser bikes are a great way to get outside and explore Aspen if you plan to stay on paved roads and pathways. If your idea of a good time is taking a ride through the streets of Aspen and along the Rio Grande Trail on a sunny day, stopping for a beverage at your new favorite brewery, and exploring the Aspen Farmers Market, a cruiser bike is a great fit for you.

Road Biking

If you plan to log some miles on strava and explore the beautiful backroads of the Roaring Fork Valley, you're probably looking for a road bike. Aspen is home to some beautiful roadways perfect for a long distance ride. There's no better way to spend a sunny day before you après on your favorite patio.

E-Biking

E-bikes are perfect for the individual or family that wants to explore the Aspen area or take a ride up to Maroon Bells without as strenuous a workout. The beauty of e-bikes is that they allow you to travel further and get more out of your day in a sustainable and fun way! Pedal to your destination instead of driving on your next excursion.
