History of Gay Ski Week
In 1977, local John Busch and gay ski club leaders from Chicago, Los Angeles, and beyond finally pushed to secure space in restaurants and public places while visiting Aspen. Their goal was to accommodate and celebrate a wider range of visiting gay ski clubs—and the result was the official start to the longest-running Gay Ski Week in America.
From mountaintop views to an intimate cabin in the woods, Aspen Snowmass offers a wealth of wedding venue options across all four mountains. And with the event-planning expertise of our ASC Catering team, you can design the dream wedding you've always longed for in the heart of the Rockies. Get planning today.
