History of Gay Ski Week
In 1977, local John Busch and gay ski club leaders from Chicago, Los Angeles, and beyond finally pushed to secure space in restaurants and public places while visiting Aspen. Their goal was to accommodate and celebrate a wider range of visiting gay ski clubs—and the result was the official start to the longest-running Gay Ski Week in America.
