Selema Masekela is the Event Visionary for Culture Shifters and a member of the Burton Board of Directors. His work aims to create more radical inclusivity in the snowboarding community and make the outdoors accessible and welcoming for people of color.

Environment Foundation

As a key initiative of the first sustainability department in the ski industry, this employee-led organization has gifted over $4 million to environmental initiatives since its inception 25 years ago.

History of Aspen Gay Ski Week

What started as small meetups and condo parties in the '70s evolved into the oldest and largest gay ski event in the country, and the main annual fundraiser for local non-profit AspenOUT. Not just a good time, Aspen Gay Ski Week is good for our community, near and far.

Caring for Community Fund

We’ve known for a long time that the key ingredient to a successful business is a strong community. The employee-run C4C funds projects tackling mental health, crisis-support, safe and affordable housing, and more.

2023 Sustainability Report

Our first sustainability report was published in 1999. In 2023, we’re still asking the hard questions. Set to be released in November 2023, look for it in your room at the Limelight Aspen, Limelight Snowmass, and The Little Nell, as well as at Aspen Snowmass ticket offices and on-mountain restaurants this winter.
