THE NEW TRAIL WILL OPEN THIS SATURDAY, AUGUST 12

This year, Aspen Snowmass is working with Gravity Logic's world-renowned trail builders on three new bike trails debuting summer 2017. These trails will add seven miles to our expansive bike park, and we're excited to share our newest trail with you. This new trail has an instant pedigree as a gravity racing classic, after hosting Stage 4 of the Big Mountain Enduro of the Enduro World Series. So it's only appropriate that we partnered with pro athlete, and two-time Enduro World Series Champion Richie Rude to premier the trail.

The raw, physical, and technically demanding track challenged the best riders in the world as they sprinted through its 1.9 miles and nearly 1400 feet of descent en route to the impeccable jumps of Valhalla and a flowing finish in the Aspen groves of Powerline and Starks.

This narrow, expert level technical trail combines steep descents with perfectly-shaped catch berms, expansive alpine views, and exposed rock faces leading into deep, loamy pine forests. Seasoned riders will love the unrelenting challenge of the gnarled rock gardens and and root tangled traverses, which stand in contrast to the flowing rollercoaster style of surrounding trails like Valhalla and Viking. The trail finishes just above the Elk Camp restaurant, flowing into a handful of machine built berms and jumps before depositing enthralled riders back at the bottom terminal of the Elk Camp Chairlift for another lap.
