In addition to our dedication to corporate giving, Aspen Skiing Company also supports two employee-led and funded nonprofits: The Environment Foundation and The Caring for Community Fund. The purpose of our philanthropy is twofold: to put money in the pockets of nonprofits doing meaningful work; and to seed a culture of philanthropy among our employees and community.

Environment Foundation

The Environment Foundation is unique to the ski industry in that employee contributions are matched by the Aspen Ski Company Family Fund and the Aspen Community Foundation, with additional support from Lavazza, our coffee partner. From programs protecting regional elk ecosystems to funding large-scale clean energy initiatives, this grant giving nonprofit is dedicated to protecting the environment by funding results-oriented programs tackling climate change and promoting stewardship.

Caring For Community Fund

From Aspen to Glenwood Springs, the Caring for Community Fund helps strengthen and support communities in the Roaring Fork Valley. By awarding grants to causes focused on health care, mental health, education, social justice, community building, and more, this employee-led fund bolsters the community from every angle. The Aspen Ski Company Family Fund matches every employee contribution dollar two-to-one.

Aspen Skiing Company has donated over $3.5 million in funds, products and services to local causes—supporting veterans, the environment, support throughout Covid-19, affordable housing, and more.
