Aspen Skiing Company was founded in 1946 thanks to the imagination and determination of veterans from the 10th Mountain Division, most notably Friedl Pfeifer, an Austrian who became an American citizen, enlisted in the 10th Mountain Division, received the Purple Heart, and—after World War II—partnered with Walter Paepcke to establish lift service and ski runs on Aspen Mountain.

The dedication and commitment that all veterans and active military personnel have shown to this country is truly incredible and inspiring. Thank you! You are always welcome on our slopes.

Military Discounted Season Passes

All active duty and reserve military personnel of the United Stated Armed Services and their dependents are eligible for a special rate of 25% off 2023-2024 Premier Passes. The Premier Season Pass includes unlimited skiing/riding + over $1,000 in exclusive benefits and full summer access. For more information on pass types and benefits, click here. Passes must be purchased in-person at one of our ticket offices. Must present a valid military ID at the ticket office to redeem.

Military Discounted Lift Tickets

All retired veterans, active duty and honorably discharged military personnel of the United Stated Armed Services and their dependents are eligible for 25% off discounted lift tickets for the 2023-2024 winter season. Tickets must be purchased in-person at one of our ticket offices. Must present a valid military ID, discharge papers or proof of V.A. benefits at the ticket office to redeem.
