Aspen Snowmass Awarded Resort Of The Year: Best Of The West
ASPEN SNOWMASS AWARDED SKI MAGAZINE'S RESORT OF THE YEAR: BEST OF THE WEST
As winter approaches, we’re excited for the many powder days and bowl laps ahead. With a promising winter forecast, new events through out the season, Sam's opening — the latest addition to our restaurant family, this is stacking up to be our best year yet. Apparently the ski community agrees too! We are humbled and honored to receive the 2020 Best of the West Resort of the Year Award from SKI Magazine.
Every spring SKI Magazine asks their readers to partake in a survey ranking North American ski resorts. Readers are asked to choose up to five resorts that they have skied at during the past two seasons. SKI magazine combined the survey results and the collective expertise from their editors and contributing writers to focus on answering one single question: Where should you ski this winter?
“Last season, after joining the Ikon Pass, a number of first-time visitors noted that Aspen Snowmass is truly worth the hype, and that the people of Aspen and Snowmass are friendly and welcoming to everyone,” said Jon Jay Gear & Digital Editor for SKI Magazine.

LOCAL TIP: "On a powder day, skip hiking the entire Highlands Bowl and drop in on Flip’s Leap or Hyde Park. Snow will be freshest on cold mornings and is commonly overlooked by summit-hungry skiers." - SKI Magazine
“Though perhaps what really makes Aspen Snowmass the best is that it has mastered the basics of what make a ski town great. Free transportation between all four mountains and the airport means less cars on the road (No. 1 for Accessibility). Perfectly groomed trails combined with one of the best ski schools in North America can help anyone become a better skier (No. 1 for Grooming). And well-placed lifts mean there’s hardly ever a line (No. 3 for Lifts),” said John Jay, Gear & Digital Editor for SKI Magazine.
A big thank you to SKI Magazine and all who voted for Aspen Snowmass as the Best of the West Resort of the Year. We encourage you to come ski with us this year and see what all the fuss is about!
