Aspen Snowmass Freeskiing Open
This AFP Gold Level event is one of the longest-running independent ski open competitions in the country. Each year, fresh off X Games Aspen, around 200 professional and amateur athletes take to the Buttermilk Superpipe, Slopestyle, Big Air and Rail Jam courses to compete for the coveted title.
At each of the four mountains, our closing parties are equal parts celebration of the winter season that was, and the summer season that awaits. Goofy costumes, silly competitions and — sometimes — a late-season dose of powder round out the festivities.
2017 Audi FIS World Cup Finals
As Memorable As It Gets
In 2017, Aspen Mountain hosted the Audi FIS World Cup Finals, in which American Mikaela Shiffrin clinched the overall title in women's skiing. It was the first time in 22 years that the event was held in North America, and it showed the caliber of our community, our fans, and our guests, who turned up by the thousands to cheer on the racers.
Held every fall, The Meeting sets the tone for the upcoming ski season with The Meeting FilmFest at the Wheeler Opera House. Simultaneously, The Meeting Conference gathers the industry's top influencers and creators for panel discussions on marketing and content creation.
