4th of July Weekend Events

The 4th of July in Aspen Snowmass isn't just a holiday—it's a full weekend of reasons to never sit still. Parades, mountain brunch, free concerts, carnival, live bluegrass, a drone show, and a rugby match on the lawn—spread across two towns and four days, with the mountains as your backdrop the whole time.

We've lined it all up so you don't have to think twice. Ride up for brunch at the Sundeck, rent an e-bike and cruise between Aspen and Snowmass, or stake out your spot in Wagner Park and let the weekend come to you. All you have to do is show up.

Thursday, July 2—The Warmup

Aspen

• Ajax Tavern Happy Hour | 2-5PM | Cold drinks, great patio energy, and the mountain right above you.

• Limelight Live | 5-8PM | Live music in The Lounge at Limelight Aspen.

Snowmass

• Ice Cream Social | 3:30–5PM | Free ice cream from The Dreamery, lawn games, and community fun.

• Snowmass Free Concert | 5:30-8:30PM | Live music on Fanny Hill, featuring The Texas Gentlemen and C.A.R.P.

• Limelight Live Music | 5-8PM | Live music in The Lounge at Limelight Snowmass.

Friday, July 3— Get Moving

Aspen

• Daybreaker | 8:30–11AM | Morning yoga and dance at the top of Aspen Mountain. Equal parts sweat and joy. Stick around after for lunch, drinks, and views at the Sundeck—you've already earned it.

• Aspen Farmers Market | 8:30AM–2PM | Local produce, handmade goods, and live music.

• Carnival at Rio Grande Park | 12–8PM | Early afternoon through sunset. Classic carnival games and snacks. Free rides for all!

• Free Concert at Wagner Park | 7–9PM | Hosted by Belly Up, featuring blues rock band, The Record Company.

Snowmass

• Brunch at The Cabin | 10AM-1PM | Mid-mountain eggs with a view to match.

• The Ice Age Explorer Tour | 3:30–5PM | One of the most significant fossil discoveries in North America happened right here—this tour is worth your afternoon.

• The Rock Garden Concert Series | 7–8:30PM | Live music at the Snowmass Mall, featuring Colorado band, Wild Flight.

Rent an e-bike from Four Mountain Sports and cruise between it all.

Saturday, July 4 — The Main Event

Aspen

• Sundeck Brunch | 11AM–3PM | Ride the Silver Queen Gondola up Aspen Mountain and enjoy your eggs with a view.

• Kids on Bikes | 10-11AM | Meet at Paepcke Park to decorate your kiddo’s bike before they ride in the parade at 11AM. Kids only. Bikes only. Helmets mandatory.

• Old-Fashioned 4th of July Parade | 11AM-12PM | Through downtown Aspen. Keep your eyes out for the Aspen Skiing Company float. You never know what they’ll come up with.

• Music on the Mountain | 1PM | Music from the Aspen Music Festival and School, at the top of Aspen Mountain.

• Limelight Aspen Happy Hour | 1-3PM | Celebrate the holiday with a special early-hours Happy Hour.

• AVSC 4th of July Picnic | 12–3PM | Games, face painting, bouncy castles, and a beer garden.

• America at The Table at Element 47 | 12-3:15PM | A 250-year culinary journey through American cuisine told through interactive chef-led stations featuring Indian, African, Latin, Thai, and Centennial dishes: Reserve a Table

• Carnival at Rio Grande Park | 12-8PM | Early afternoon through sunset. Classic carnival games and snacks. Free rides for all!

• Aspen Music Festival and School 4th of July Concert | 4PM | Patriotic favorite songs on the Klein Music Tent stage.

• Drone show | 9:30PM | Patriotic tributes produced by Sky Elements Drones and presented by Aspen Chamber Resort Association.

Snowmass

• Fitness on the Rink | 9AM | Start the 4 with a free fitness class. Bring your mat, water, sunscreen, and good vibes.

• Brunch at The Cabin | 10AM-1PM | Mid-mountain eggs with a view to match.

• Family Fair Saturdays | 11AM-3PM | Ride the Elk Camp Gondola up Snowmass for a mid-mountain carnival made for the little ones.

• Limelight Snowmass | Food specials in the Lounge all day.

• Snowmass Concert | 5-9:30PM | Get grooving with a free concert from the 80’s-inspired band, The Spazmatics, on Fanny Hill. Patriotic swag and glow in the dark goodies included.

Sunday, July 5— The Encore

Aspen

• Bluegrass Sunday & America 250 Trivia | 11AM-3PM | American History trivia on the Wedding Deck, then BBQ grill specials, live bluegrass, and the Summit Scooper Ice Cream Cart from 12–3pm. Hop on the gondola (sightseeing ticket required) or hike up for a little adventure. BYO picnic blankets or chairs.

• Aspen Gents Rugby Match | 1PM | against Vail in Wagner Park. Free to watch.

Snowmass

• Fitness on the Rink | 9-10AM | Free. Great way to earn brunch. Bring your mat, water, sunscreen, and good vibes.

• Brunch at Elk Camp | 11AM–3PM | Brunch above Snowmass with Champagne drink specials. No reservations needed.
