No matter your child or teen’s ability level, we offer lessons designed to build confidence—and a lifelong love of winter. From first turns on gentle groomers to park skills, glades, and steeps, every lesson blends expert instruction mountain adventure and creative expression. Our Pros know how to connect with kids of all ages, creating a fun, supportive environment in a small group setting.
Beginner and age 4-and-under lessons are available at Snowmass and Buttermilk.
Kids ages 7–17 receive a discounted lift ticket with their lesson—and kids 6 and under always ski free.

Ages 2.5 to 3 Year Old Program
This safe, fun, and nurturing program is staffed with experienced professionals specializing in early childhood education as well as ski instruction. The youngsters have their own private learning area right outside of the Treehouse at Snowmass or The Hideout at Buttermilk and will participate in a one hour ski experience each morning. When indoors, your child will enjoy age-specific rooms and a low child-to-Pro ratio.
Full or Half Day Options
Available for mornings half day, or all day. Skiing only, no snowboarding.

Max 5 Group Lesson Ages 3 & 4
This safe and welcoming ski lesson is staffed with experienced professionals specializing in early childhood education as well as ski instruction. These youngsters will spend the day learning fundamentals while having fun on the snow. Children must be potty trained and ready to spend most of their day outside.

Max 5 Group Lesson Ages 5 & 6
Our 5- and 6-year-old program is designed for little rippers that are on skis or snowboards for the first time as well as for those who have been shredding it up their entire short lives. It's all about small-group fun and safety on the slopes for this energetic group.

Our experienced Pros share their wealth of knowledge and instill an appreciation for the mountain environment. Kids will enjoy perfecting their skills while developing a love for the sport. Beginners to experts learn in a supportive and fun environment while developing confidence and life skills.

Max 5 Group Lessons Ages 13 to 17
Coaching happens and skills develop—but half the time they won’t even know it’s happening because they are having so much fun! This small-group program is structured to accommodate the personalities of the individuals within the group. Based on conditions and group ability levels, daily lessons can include learning the basics, cruising the groomers to coaching for pipe & park, big mountain, bumps, carving, racing, and freestyle.

Aspen Highlands Program Ages 7 to 14
Aspen Highlands Program Ages 7 to 14
A multi-week child and teen skiing program aimed at developing great all-around skiers through a focus on strong fundamental skills and exposure to many aspects of the sport. Each week will focus on a new theme around skill building on Aspen Highlands. Themes include balance training, edging skills, mountain safety, bumps, racing, freestyle, and more. This program is for level 5 and above skiers only.

What is your cancellation policy on Ski and Snowboard School lessons?
All Ski and Snowboard School products canceled or changed 48 hours or more in advance are fully refundable.
How can guests complete waivers and registration forms ahead of time?
Guests can visit the Aspen Snowmass account portal or the Aspen Snowmass App to complete Ski & Snowboard School waivers and registration forms ahead of time. Waivers are required for all guests 17 and under.
Are reservations required for child and teen Ski and Snowboard School Lessons?
Yes. Reservations are required for all Ski and Snowboard School products, including Clinics, Max 5 Lessons, and Private Lessons . We strongly encourage reserving at least 7 days in advance. Reservations can be booked online at shop.aspensnowmass.com or by calling one of our agents at 877-308-7859.
