First Tracks

Join our staff for an early morning, first-run-of-the-day on freshly groomed snow or powder on Aspen Mountain. Offered daily beginning December 8.

Space is limited. Sign up in the gondola building or call 970-920-0755 for reservations. Reservations can only be made 24 hours in advance (8am the day before). Skiers and riders need to be at Level 7 or above. Meet at gondola base at 8am with boots on and skis/boards.

ACES Tours

ACES Snowshoe Tour

Weave in and out of serene spruce and fir forests as you take in Aspen's majestic vistas from Richmond Ridge with a knowledgeable Naturalist on this two-hour guided snowshoe tour. Learn about wildlife in winter, tracking, mountain ecology, Aspen history, avalanches, and winter habitats.
  • Every day at 10 am and 1 pm. Meet guide at the top of Aspen Mountain, in front of the gondola.
  • Purchase tickets at any lift ticket office. Please allow 30 minutes before the tour for ticket purchase and gondola ride.
  • Prices: $58 Adults, $49 Youth (7-17 years) and Seniors (over 65 years).
  • If you have your own lift ticket tour prices are: $38 Adults, $29 Youth & Senior
  • Tour price includes snack and warm drink, gondola ride, snowshoes, knowledgeable guide, and basic snowshoeing instruction.
  • Approximately 2.5 miles round trip. Tours take place on gentle terrain and are held at a leisurely pace.
  • Warm boots, winter clothing, sunscreen, and water are strongly recommended.
  • Ages 7 and up.
  • No reservations.

Get to know Aspen Mountain like the locals do with our community ambassadors. Ambassadors lead tours every day on Aspen Mountain.

In addition to free orientation tours, they offer information on terrain and facilities, and goodies like coffee, apple cider and Clif Bars.

Where to Meet Aspen Mountain Bottom of Gondola Silver Queen

Meet at the Guest Services Cabin at top of Silver Queen Gondola.

Tours serve as an orientation to the mountain on intermediate runs and take one to two hours. They are ideal for those who have never been to Aspen Mountain or returning visitors who need a refresher.
