Buttermilk Renovation
There are a lot of new developments at the Buttermilk Base Area. Learn more about these exciting improvements.
Buttermilk is an easy-going mountain where every day is all-day recess. Designed to help children and beginners fall in love with winter sports on flowing, forgiving runs, that same friendly terrain is the perfect landscape for professional athletes to win global titles at world-class events like X Games Aspen.
New this year, Buttermilk’s transformed base area includes a 9,000+ square-foot fully electric skier services building, creating a sustainable and intuitive one-stop shop for guests to purchase tickets, dial in gear rentals, shop, and relax in the lounge. And with a new bar area called The Backyard, the renovated Buttermilk Mountain Lodge (formerly known as Bumps) offers heated outdoor seating, and an incredible menu of drinks and food, taking the comfortable, fun hangout to the next level.
New Guest Services Building
The new Guest Services building is open from 8:15pm until 4:45pm daily. The daylit, intuitive space makes rolling into Buttermilk and purchasing lift tickets, lessons, rentals, and daytime lockers in one place before getting out on the mountain easy.
The new space will act as your one-stop shop to purchase tickets, rent gear, shop for last-minute on-mountain needs, and relax in the day lounge. For those that have completed purchases in advance, there are easy-to-use check-in-stations as well as a Pickup Box right inside the building, making getting out on the slopes simple.
