For elite mountain athletes, the Audi Power of Four Race Series is the quintessential test of endurance, skill and mental fortitude. Stretching across winter and summer, and featuring three disciplines — ski mountaineering (or SkiMo for short), mountain biking and trail running — each race has become a marker in the personal lives of the athletes. The routes vary, but the Trail Run and SkiMo threads together a route that goes up and over Snowmass, Buttermilk, Aspen Highlands and, finally, Aspen Mountain. New this year, the Audi Power of Four Mountain Bike will utilize some of the best single track in the valley over a 25 mile loop that will start and finish in Snowmass.

Whether you are game for the whole enchilada, looking to compete in the shortened series, or you want to cheer on the racers, we have the lowdown for you here.
"You have to have the fitness, because there’s a lot of vertical and you’ll be racing a really long time."
Max Taam, four-time Power of Four SkiMo Champion.
