Limelight Dialogue Series

September 7, 2016

As part of its ongoing Limelight Dialogues, the Limelight Hotel this summer presents a four-part series featuring some of the most esteemed arts organizations in the Roaring Fork Valley. The goal is simple: help audiences more deeply understand different art forms through explanation and performance. “The Mystery of Marble” promises to be educational, entertaining, and, most of all, social and fun.

THE MYSTERY OF MARBLE || HOW SENSE OF PLACE DIRECTS US CREATIVELY

$10 ADMISSION INCLUDES WINE OR BEER AND SNACKS

6-7:30pm // Carbondale Council on Arts and Humanities Director Amy Kimberly, sculptor Greg Tonozzi and distiller Connie Baker from Marble Distillery will explain how they use marble in their art. With Tonozzi on hand to demonstrate, this Limelight Dialogue will also celebrate the marble from nearby Marble, Colorado, known by sculptors around the world. Beyond gaining an appreciation for an art form and for a material, audience members may have a chance to chip a piece of marble off the block to take home as a souvenir.
