Helly Hansen 4 MTN Mission

March 17, 2019

Join us for a mountain adventure at Aspen Snowmass! The Helly Hansen 4 MTN Mission will take you on an adventure across the four ski areas of Aspen Snowmass. Starting in Aspen and ending in Snowmass, there will be two separate missions with one that highlights some of our best intermediate and expert terrain and another geared towards families that will stick to more beginner to intermediate terrain. Similar to a scavenger hunt, teams will follow clues to designated locations and earn points along the way. Follow along and engage using #SpringJam19 and #HH4MTNMission.

2019 Results
Teams of 2 will use a mobile phone app to navigate between designated check points on Snowmass, Buttermilk, Aspen Highlands and Aspen Mountain in one day. The check points will be assigned a point value and teams will use strategy to decide which locations they can get to in the allotted time window. Prizes from our partners including Helly Hansen, Stance, Smith Optics, Rylo, Audi, Supergoop, RX Bar, Coca Cola and more will be awarded when teams reach certain thresholds. The total number of points collected across the four mountains will determine the winner.

All registrants will receive Helly Hansen gloves at registration.

Day of check in will be at the Helly Hansen tent in Aspen Mountain's Upper Gondola Plaza starting at 8am. It is highly recommended that you arrive at 8am when the checkpoints across all four mountains get released. You will want to give yourself as much time as possible to review the options and begin planning your route for the day.

Event Format
Participants will need a smart mobile phone in order to access the event information on the app social scavenger. The app is supported by both iOS and Android software. Arriving with a full phone battery is highly recommended since use of the app is critical to completing the missions. The app will display a list of all the checkpoints or “challenges” that need to be completed on each mountain. Teams must complete at least 1 challenge on each mountain but no check points are mandatory. At each check point you will be prompted by the app to upload a selfie at the specified location, scan a QR code or possibly answer a trivia question to receive credit for checking in at that location. The order in which the challenges are completed is up to teams so an element of strategy will come into play when deciding your route across the four mountains.

The list of check points for each mission will be released the morning of the event. The Ragnarok Mission will cover intermediate and expert terrain (blues and blacks) while the Adventure Mission will cover beginner and intermediate terrain (greens and blues). Ragnarok Mission teams will be capped at 2 members but Adventure Mission teams can have up to 6 members.
