BRIAN DUNBAR ON “HEALTHY, REGENERATIVE COMMUNITIES”

March 28, 2018 | Limelight Hotel
Starts at 6pm, doors open at 5:30pm for cocktails

Leaders in green, sustainable design and development are looking to push beyond current practices toward “resilient, regenerative design” and “living” built environments. There are those who see this as a shift away from a “less bad” approach toward a wholly positive, “benefit-creation” approach — or, regeneration.

At the leading edge of this transition is LENSES, or Living Environments in Natural, Social, and Economic Systems. LENSES is an open source framework that guides project teams and communities toward regenerative solutions to buildings and cities. TheLENSES approach has sparked “way-outside-the-box” discussions and innovations in projects, community workshops and college courses. The outcome? Living environments that foster happier people, a healthier planet and economic prosperity.
