Aspen Snowmass was born from military courage. In 1946, veterans of the legendary 10th Mountain Division — the elite alpine soldiers who fought through the Italian Alps — came home and built something extraordinary. Among them was Friedl Pfeifer, an Austrian-American who earned the Purple Heart serving in the 10th Mountain and went on to transform Aspen Mountain into one of the world's great ski destinations.

Military Discount Season Passes
All active duty and reserve military personnel of the United Stated Armed Services and their dependents are eligible for a special rate of 27% off 2026-2027 Premier Passes. The Premier Season Pass includes unlimited skiing/riding + over $1,000 in exclusive benefits and full summer access. Passes must be purchased in-person at one of our ticket offices. Must present a valid military ID at the ticket office to redeem.
Military Discounted Lift Tickets
All retired veterans, active duty and honorably discharged military personnel of the United Stated Armed Services and their dependents are eligible for 25% off discounted lift tickets for the 2026-2027 winter season. Tickets must be purchased in-person at one of our ticket offices. Must present a valid military ID, discharge papers or proof of V.A. benefits at the ticket office to redeem.
