Ride + Dine With The Little Nell

Join a popular summer tradition with The Little Nell and Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES) for an unforgettable Ride + Dine experience, offered on July 16, July 29, and August 12. Cyclists are invited to take part, embarking on a journey by bike from Aspen's Gondola Plaza to the newly re-opened Catto Center at Toklat in the scenic Ashcroft Valley for an al fresco dinner.

E-bikes are recommended for the 12-mile guided ride from Gondola Plaza to Toklat with an elevation gain of 1,600 feet. Much of the ride is on Castle Creek Road with single-file riding required.

In celebration of The Little Nell’s notable wine program, an optional wine pairing add-on will be available for each Ride + Dine. All three events will feature a wine expert or winemaker who will join participants for the ride to Toklat and present a selection of wines at dinner.

Additional Information:

Guests are asked to arrive at Lower Gondola Plaza at 3:30 pm for registration, introductions, and a safety talk.
Each participant should come ready to ride, equipped with a bike (e-bikes are recommended), helmet, and water bottle.
Guests may also bring a bag with a change of clothes for dinner that will be delivered by our valet to Toklat. When selecting your change of clothes, please note this is an outdoor dinner on a covered terrace, and temperatures can drop significantly in the mountains when the sun sets.
The group departure is at 4:00 pm. The ride is approximately 1 – 1.5 hours long and climbs 1,500 feet over 12 miles. E-bikes are highly recommended for non-avid cyclists. Much of the ride is on Castle Creek Road with single-file riding required.
Upon arrival at the destination around 5:30 pm, you'll be treated to a glass of sparkling wine and hors d'oeuvres and a property tour presented by ACES. At 7:00 pm, a three-course, plated dinner will be served, prepared by The Little Nell's culinary team, featuring fresh ingredients from local and regional purveyors.

Event Reminders:

The glass of wine upon arrival is the only alcohol included in the ticket price. A guided wine pairing to complement the three-course meal is available to add on to your dining experience.
For bike rentals, we recommend Aspen Collection and Four Mountain Sports. E-bikes are encouraged; however, not required.
Upon arrival at Toklat, bikes will be given to the team at Four Mountain Sports and transported back to The Little Nell. If you rent from Aspen Collection or Four Mountain Sports in Aspen, your rental bike will be returned to the store for you. If you bring your own bike or rent from another retailer, it will be returned to The Little Nell for you to retrieve after the event.
After dinner, departing around 8:00 pm, guests will be transported back to The Little Nell by shuttle.
