80 Years of Aspen Snowmass
Celebrate 80 years of Aspen Snowmass with deals, events, and on-mountain moments, all season long. Eight decades deep and our best turns are still in front of us. Join the party.
On December 14, 1946, Friedl Pfeifer and Walter and Elizabeth Paepcke opened Aspen Mountain with the world's longest chairlift and a conviction that a place in the mountains could do more than host a ski resort. It could change how people live. A point of reinvention, post WWII, built on the belief that a place in the mountains could bring together world-class skiing, nature, and culture.
80 years later, that conviction still shows up in how people ride these mountains, spend time in these towns, and leave this place differently than when they arrived. Steep lines and bold thinking. Vivid culture and deep powder. A place built to lift the spirit, expand perspective, and leave an enduring mark on all who come here. Eight decades deep and our best turns are still in front of us.

All winter long, look for dining and drink specials, marquee events, specialty apparel, and on-mountain moments worth showing up for. It all kicks off December 12 through 14 with a celebratory weekend with discounted lift ticket pricing, après parties, dining deals and more.
