What to Expect

Regardless of your teen’s skiing or riding ability, we have a lesson geared for them. From easy groomers to terrain park tricks to mastering glades and steeps, these lessons will give your teen the chance to express themselves.

Our dedicated Pros know how to connect with teenagers, mixing instruction and skills development with on-mountain exploration and creative expression. Groups are divided according to skill level and goals. Your teen will be given the chance to make new friends in a confidence-building environment.

Over the course of a lesson, your teen might learn:
  • The fundamentals of skiing and snowboarding
  • Techniques for mastering groomers, moguls, steeps, deep powder, terrain parks and pipes, and more.
Teens often choose to compete with new friends at specials events such as Lowdown Showdown Park Challenge, school race day, and NASTAR.

  • Waterproof coat
  • Snow pants
  • Ski or Snowboard Equipment
  • Hat and mittens/gloves
  • Goggles or sunglasses
  • Sunscreen and lip protection
  • Money for lunch. Teens will have lunch with their group at an on-mountain restaurant.
  • Leave the cotton clothing at home. Dress them in moisture-wicking layers, even in the cold.
  • Please label all items. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Make sure your child stays hydrated before the lesson so they can handle the elevation and exercise.

Where To Meet

Parents Info & Special Considerations

  • Helmets: Helmets are required for children ages 17 and under participating in Ski & Snowboard Schools programs.
  • Our Guarantee: When you consider that every lesson is backed by Our Guarantee, it becomes a risk-free investment – if you are unsatisfied with your lesson, we’ll enroll you in another lesson at no extra cost to you. Put simply, you have everything to gain and nothing to lose.
  • If possible, get your lift tickets and rentals the day before. It is recommended to allow for 1 hour to properly fit your child with rental equipment.
  • Health: Your child’s health is important to us. Please notify us of any health problems or medication requirements. We reserve the right to refuse any child due to illness to ensure the health of the other children in our program.
  • Medication: If medication is to be administered, parents must sign a medical release instructing us how and when the medication is to be given to the child. All medication must be in the original container with the written instructions from the physician clearly marked. We are not allowed to dispense over the counter medicine without a written physician order.
