As we transition to fall operations at Aspen Snowmass, we are grateful that we’ve been able provide you with a safe and healthy place to recreate in the beautiful Elk Mountains of Colorado. Our guests, employees and community made this possible with a strong adherence to the Five Commitments to Containment, and working together we’ve been able to reduce the spread of Covid and keep the strain off our health care system. We must remain vigilant and continue to follow the guidelines put in place by our healthcare professionals. You can keep updated on the latest information by checking the Pitkin County Coronameter here.

We still have plenty of time left this fall for scenic gondola rides, mountain biking, hiking and exploring in the outdoors. The fall is one of the most beautiful times of year here, as the leaves change, there’s a crispness in the air and you find more space on the trails.

This is also the time that we begin to think more and more about winter, and get excited for the ski season ahead. We’ve learned a great deal this summer that we can apply to our winter operations. We are working to complete a number of on-mountain improvements that will greet guests this winter, including the new Big Burn six-passenger chairlift and new snowmaking at both Snowmass and Aspen Mountain. We are hiring staff, testing systems and fine tuning plans to keep everyone safe, healthy and on the slopes.

While we will do everything possible to provide a safe experience, each of you has a responsibility to do the same. Hit the bike trails, explore the Lost Forest, soak in the views, but please do so while respecting local health and safety regulations. Both the City of Aspen and Town of Snowmass Village have mandatory face mask zones in place, that encompass most of the business and residential areas, including Gondola Plaza at the base of Aspen Mountain, the Snowmass Mall and Base Village and the transit hub/base area at Aspen Highlands. In addition, masks are required while inside and in congested spaces at all mountain and base area facilities; social distancing remains part of life for now. We are at high altitude and our hospitals have limited facilities, so, please, if you are sick, at risk, or unwilling to follow guidelines around mask wearing, hygiene, and distancing, we ask that you save your visit for another time. Please follow the five commitments of containment and visit Pitkin County's website for the latest information and on Covid 19 in our area.

With these safety precautions, we are excited to welcome you to Aspen Snowmass this fall and hoping to see you all this winter. We can’t wait to see you. Whenever you’re ready to visit us, we’ll be ready to welcome you back.
