What Makes Aspen Mountain Different

Aspen Mountain, locally referred to as Ajax, is celebrated for its steep terrain, rich ski history, and one-of-a-kind connection to downtown Aspen. The Silver Queen Gondola rises directly from town to the summit, putting 80 years of skiing and riding, plus legendary après, just steps from downtown. New this season, the Nell Bell chairlift offers high-speed access from Gondola Plaza straight to the top of Bell Mountain. With limited beginner terrain, Ajax is best suited for intermediate and expert skiers and riders looking for a quintessential Aspen experience.
