Aspen Snowmass does the holidays right, with a stacked calendar of events, special activities for the whole family, and so many things to do you'll forget all about gifts (well, maybe!). From the new Breathtaker Alpine Coaster to the legendary New Year's Eve parties across Aspen, the entire area will be putting on a two-week celebration through January 2.
We've curated our favorite on-mountain and off-mountain ways to celebrate the season during your holiday getaway.
Ullr Nights | ELK CAMP AT SNOWMASS
December 28 and 29 | January 2 and 5During Ullr Nights, Elk Camp at Snowmass is transformed into a nighttime winter wonderland for the whole family. And for the holidays, we are adding bonus nights: December 28 and January 2!
Take an evening gondola ride up to Elk Camp for family fun including tubing, the Breathtaker Alpine Coaster, snowbiking, snowshoe tours, live music, an ice bar, a bonfire, s'mores, and delicious food.
Snowmass S’mores | Snowmass Base Village & Snowmass Mall
Daily, 3:30pm–4:30pmLook for the s’mores carts by the fire pits in front of the Westin and in front of Base Camp in the Base Village and choose from an assortment of out-of-the-ordinary s’mores fixings to create your perfect sweet treat.
Moonlit Trek & Dinner | Snowmass Club Golf Course
December 30, 5:30pm–9pmCross-country ski or snowshoe around Snowmass Golf Course (a route of 1.2 miles) and finish at Black Saddle Bar & Grille for dinner. Reservations are required. Dinner $19.67 plus $10 for rentals. Learn more.
Après 11,212' at The Sundeck
December 27; 4–9:30pmJoin in the festive fun on December 27 as the Sundeck atop Aspen Mountain will be hosting an Après Party late into the evening. Hang out at the Sundeck after your day of skiing/riding or purchase a $10 ticket to ride the Silver Queen Gondola after 4:00 pm for après-ski drink specials, DJ/entertainment and food service until 9:00 pm. AVSC’s Audi AJAX Cup | Little Nell Race Course & Shlomo’s Party Tent
December 30, 9am–6pmThe Audi Ajax Cup is a dual Giant Slalom right on the Little Nell run down Aspen Mountain, ending in Aspen’s Gondola Plaza. Teams of six are racing head-to-head until one is named the winner and awarded the famed Gorsuch Cup. Each team has a pro-racer, last year’s included Chris Davenport, Casey Puckett, Daron Rahlves and AJ Kitt. Race is free to watch, and the party has entry fee. Skiing and Riding | All Four Mountains

Breathtaker Alpine Coaster | Elk Camp at Snowmass
Daily through April 8Our newest activity on Snowmass will take your breath away. Literally. The new Breathtaker Alpine Coaster recently opened and takes guests on a 28mph journey through the forest near Elk Camp. Special night rides are available on Dec 26 (during Ullr Nights).
Tubing | Elk Camp at Snowmass
Daily beginning December 28 through April 8Double-up on the fun by using your Activity Pass for both the Breathtaker Alpine Coaster and a few runs on our tubing lanes at Elk Camp. Few things could feel more jolly than dashing through the snow on a one-person open tube.

Torchlight Parade & Fireworks | Snowmass
December 31, 2017; 6pm (Torchlight Parade), 10pm (Fireworks)Join the spectacle at Snowmass by skiing and riding in the torchlight parade. Loading for the parade will begin at 5:30pm and you can sign up in advance (or the day-of) at the Snowmass Ticket Pavilions. Skiers and snowboarders ages 8 and up are invited to ski in the parade. The New Year’s Dom Perignon Party | The Little Nell

The exclusive celebration takes place throughout Chair 9, the living room, element 47’s bar and outdoor lounge, as well as the Grand Salon. Enjoy bottomless Dom Perignon, Belvedere cocktails and an open bar, along with food stations replenished throughout the night. There will be three musical acts and two entertainment groups for the duration of the evening: DJ Amy Robbins will get the crowd to their feet in The Belvedere Lounge, DJ Cyn and DJ Dylan will be spinning in The Dom Pérignon Lounge and a Steve Peer and All That Jazz will perform in the Hennessy Lounge. Breakdancers from New York City and Samba dancers from Las Vegas will lead the charge on the dance floors. The Little Nell, Veuve Clicquot and Aspen Skiing Company have created a VIP fireworks experience, combining the finest in service and champagne and the ultimate in access and adventure. Three snowcats are available for buy-out (up to 12 guests) for the 8 pm or midnight fireworks shows over Aspen Mountain. Your Clicquot Cat will depart from the base of Ajax for a ride up Little Nell run to a private setting on the slopes with seating, blankets and a dedicated server to pour Veuve Clicquot Jeroboam La Grande Dame by the magnum and Ardberg scotch, serve a raw seafood bar, caviar, chocolate covered strawberries and The Little Nell’s signature hot chocolate, plus Bellinis for a celebratory toast.
