The Lounge at the Limelight Hotel is a social hub in Aspen. With brick oven pizzas and reasonably priced drinks, it’s the place to be from 3—7pm each day. Patios on the terrace and poolside are hopping throughout the summer.

The summer experience is not complete without lunch under an umbrella at Ajax Tavern with its bistro-style dining and slope-side patio. Ajax Tavern is one of two restaurants at The Little Nell. The acclaimed Element 47 also offers alfresco dining.

Take to the Fountain Terrace at the St. Regis Aspen Resort for drinks and mountain views. Or try one of the summer signature drinks in the Splash Pool Lounge.

The rooftop experience at the Independence Square Hotel is one of Aspen’s best kept secrets (not anymore). Guests can BYOB and soak up front-and-center views of Aspen Mountain from the rooftop hot tub and lounge chairs.

For one of the hottest summer outdoor scenes in Snowmass, the Nest Public House at Viceroy Snowmass serves up a pub-inspired menu and craft-style beers beside the slopeside pool. One of Snowmass’ fine dining spots, The Artisan, is on the premises of the Stonebridge Inn. There you can dine al fresco on the secluded outdoor patio among towering evergreens.

The choices for Snowmass condominium lodging with on-site indoor/outdoor dining would have to be the Timberline or the Villas at the Snowmass Club. Get your fix of alpine-inspired cuisine such as fondues and schnitzels at The Edge Restaurant and Bar at the Timberline. Sage Restaurant and Patio at the Snowmass Club is a long-time favorite dining spot with great views of Mt. Daly.
