As the first event in our Guest Chef Dinner Series this summer, Chef Biju Thomas and The Little Curry Shop of Denver took over the kitchen at The Little Nell on Saturday, May 14, which benefited the Aspen Homeless Shelter.
Guests enjoyed a three-course feast of authentic Indian cuisine and an opportunity to support an important organization. We couldn't be more thrilled to share the total tally of donations from the generous community of Aspen who gave more than $5,000 to benefit this incredibly important cause.
“On behalf of the Shelter, we are truly grateful and delighted by The Little Nell and Aspen Skiing Company’s involvement in our mission to prevent exposure and hunger for the Aspen Community's most vulnerable population — the homeless,” said Dr. Vince Savage, executive director for AHS. “The element 47 benefit raised significant donations for, and awareness of, our mission to help locals who have fallen on hard times get back on their feet, employed and housed. And the Indian Cuisine was quality beyond belief.”
Below is a photo gallery of Biju's beautiful plates and a behind-the-scenes look at the night.
If you missed this sold-out event, fear not — Biju will be back in September for another Guest Chef Dinner. Date to be announced soon.
