Of course you do. So take an Aspen Mountain Powder Tour and indulge in some of the best stashes in North America. Luxury snowcats take you to prime untracked glades and runs on the backside of Aspen Mountain. Fresh tracks guaranteed and gourmet lunch is included.
Powder Tours are on a reservation-only basis and require a credit card number to hold the booking. Reservations are subject to a lottery for any day where demand exceeds capacity. The lottery is held annually on November 1 each year . Powder tours will confirm guest reservations between 3-5pm the afternoon prior to the tour by phone or email.

A typical day averages 10,000 vertical feet of ungroomed wilderness skiing and boarding in an expanse of 1,500 acres that features open bowls, meadows and glades. Two guides and a driver lead each 10 person snowcat group, selecting terrain according to daily snow conditions and the group's experience. Snowboards are welcome on Aspen Mountain Powder Tours.

What to Expect
- Powder Tours are on a reservation-only basis and require a credit card number to hold the booking.
Powder tours groups meet their guides at 8:15 at the Ticket Office to the right of the gondola plaza stairs.
- After a short gondola ride to the summit, groups are given an orientation with guides before loading the snow cats.
- A hearty lunch is served in a cozy wood-stove heated cabin set in the heart of the picturesque Elk Mountains. Snacks and drinks are provided on board the cat throughout the day.
- Normal ski/board clothing is fine. There is space on the snowcat for extra items, such as cameras, hats, gloves, and goggles.
Policies & Guidelines
Cancellation Policy
If Powder Tours cancels due to snow conditions or other extenuating circumstances, the guest will not be charged anything. If a guest finds it necessary to cancel their reservation, the following applies:
For reservations canceled more than 48 hours prior to the tour, the guest will be charged a $50 per person re-booking fee.
OR
For reservations canceled less than 48 hours prior to the tour, the guest will be charged the full price of the tour. Cancellations due to medical emergencies will require a doctor’s note or a positive COVID test.
Tickets
A Powder Tour ticket is valid for three seasons. Anytime during those three seasons, or upon expiration, the value of any unused ticket may be placed in the lift ticket Aspen Snowmass Guarantee account. Complimentary ski school seats do not apply to the full-cat discount.
Lift Ticket Guarantee
You do not need a lift ticket on the day of your Powder Tour. You can receive an internal monetary credit for the per-day value of any unused days on your lift ticket. Simply bring your ticket to any ticket office or call within 14 days of expiration to receive the credit. You may use your credit in the current season or the season immediately following towards future purchases of lift tickets, lessons, or equipment rentals. Sorry, your credit may not be used for purchases of merchandise or food. You may transfer your monetary credit to someone else. Just let us know who is going to use the credit and we will put it in their name.
7am Wake Up Call
The decision to initiate the 7am wake-up call for the following day’s reservation is at the sole discretion of the Powder Tours’ office. The 7am wake-up call is subject to the Aspen Mountain Powder Tours’ cancellation policy.
