It’s a little bit of downhome right on the mountain at Sam’s Smokehouse, Snowmass’ barbecue restaurant that even mama would be proud of. Stop at this friendly rustic eatery for a mid-day ski lunch and dive into a meal you’ve earned: a juicy pulled pork or beef brisket sandwich, crispy fried green tomatoes and a moist corn muffin to help catch all the drippings. And Sam’s has thought of everything: There’s even a tofu satay for the vegetarian in your party.
Devouring delicious barbecue and swilling a cold beer while gazing at majestic Garrett Peak and Mount Daly through floor-to-ceiling windows — or from the patio — will have you in a state of alpine bliss in no time.
