Power of Four Mountain Bike Race

This unique mountain bike race combines the four ski areas of Aspen/Snowmass (Snowmass, Buttermilk, Aspen Highlands and Aspen Mountain) into one amazing mountain bike race. The diversity of the terrain and tackling our four distinct mountains has placed this race in a category all its own.

The Advanced Beginner Zone- level 4
(All green and easiest blue terrain) I am linking turns on all green terrain and exploring the easiest groomed blue terrain.

The Intermediate Zone- levels 5-7
(Most groomed blue terrain, but still appreciate green terrain) I am skiing mostly parallel in a couple different size and shape turns, I am beginning to use my poles and can hockey stop in both directions.

(All groomed blues, exploring easy blue bumps, exploring easy groomed blacks) I am skiing parallel and confident using a hockey stop. I am refining my skills while exploring new terrain.

(All blue terrain, groomed black terrain, and exploring ungroomed black terrain) I am able to make parallel turns with a pole plant on all blue terrain.  I am gaining confidence on un-groomed black terrain.

The Advanced/Expert Zone- levels 7-9
(All black terrain, exploring easy double blacks) I am making rhythmic short radius turns on all blue and black terrain (groomed or un-groomed). I feel comfortable exploring harder blacks and easier double black terrain.
