  1. Introduction to the Second Year Course: Objectives; requirements; lab week arrangements.
    Review of First Year Experience: Skier journal; instructor evaluations; video analysis.

  2. Boot Fit and Body Alignment: Further emphasis on the importance of the selection of the ski boot and of the kinetic chain.
    Peak Performance: Skiing and effects of altitude.

  3. Peak Performance: Skiing and ski injuries; proper conditioning and exercise program.

  4. Expert Skiing I: Primary movements teaching system.
    Expert Skiing II: Powder, bumps and carving.

  5. Physics of Skiing: Principles of physics applied to skiing.
    Science of Snow: Atmospheric science laws related to weather and snowfall.
    Geology of the Rockies: Origin of mountain formations.

  6. History of Colorado Skiing: Influences of individuals, circumstances, and locale on the development of recreational skiing.

  7. Four Poles of the Sports Diamond: Weems Westfeldt's innovative method of categorizing performance components and how to balance those components for brilliance.

  8. Significance of the Veterans of the Tenth Mountain Division: The story of the men who created American skiing after World War II.
    Origins of Skiing in Aspen: A look back at early ski experiences. Development of the Skier Journal: Details for laboratory week.
