FAQ:
Q: What is "SkiMo"?
A: "SkiMo" is short for "ski mountaineering."  Traditionally, these races can feature uphilling, downhilling, bootpacking and more technical mountaineering course sections.  This series will only feature uphilling, downhilling and bootpacking sections.  Additional mountaineering gear/skills are not required.

Q:  What kind of gear do I need in order to participate?
A:  The only required gear is a helmet and a headlamp. Otherwise, any set-up that will get you both up and down the hill (AT, tele, splitboard, etc) is highly recommended.

Q:  I don't have much uphilling experience, how difficult are the courses?
A:  Each of these courses is designed to be beginner-friendly while also challenging those at the top of their game.  No previous race experience is necessary though it's highly recommended that you've used your uphilling gear a few times prior.

Q:  Is there an aid station?
A:  No. These are short, self-sustained races. BYOW(ater) and snacks, if necessary.

Q:  Are dogs allowed?
A:  No. We love dogs but these races are for people only.
