WHAT'S HAPPENING NOW

Aspen Snowmass is on track to open 4,100 acres of terrain Saturday, Dec. 20 across the four peaks of Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Snowmass and Buttermilk owing to the recent storm cycle that brought up to 21 inches of snow in the past seven days.

ASPEN HIGHLANDS:
At Highlands, more expert terrain will join the already open Highland Bowl including Child’s Play and Moment Chutes. The Cloud 9 Bistro warms the fondue pots and the Merry Go Round Restaurant fires up the grills.

BUTTERMILK:
The Tiehack Chair enters service for the season providing access to lower portions of Racer’s Edge, Javeline, Tiehack Trail and Sterner’s Gulch.”

ASPEN MOUNTAIN:
Aspen Mountain  will be over 90% open and patrol is working on the last pockets of the Glades and Jackpot.

SNOWMASS:
The Two Creeks, Campground and Coney Glade Chairs will start to spin and patrol will open Burnt Mountain Glades, Long Shot, East Branch, Creekside, Cascade, Campground and Bearclaw trails. In addition to terrain openings, the Two Creeks Café will also open with hot food and beverages. Beginning this Friday, Elk Camp at Snowmass will also debut the new lift-served tubing facilities that provide multiple lanes of tubing as well as illuminated runs during the Ullr festivities.


Ullr Nights - (Dec. 19) Friday marks the very first Ullr Night of the season. Elk Camp at Snowmass is transformed into a nighttime winter wonderland.  Guests and locals alike are encouraged to light up the night with friends and family while enjoying old-fashioned winter outdoor activities such as a visit to the Volcano, the tubing hill, snowbiking, s'mores and hot chocolate by the bonfire and ice skating. Santa Arrives at Buttermilk - (Dec. 20) Santa will arrive at Bumps by snow cat at 4 pm on Satruday and will be available for free photos. The event will include arts and crafts, smokes, and a hot cocoa bar starting at 3 pm. Don’t miss this unique holiday celebration!
