AGES 2 ½ TO 4 – Children’s Group Ski Lessons
Cubs on Skis at Snowmass and Buttermilk is for children who may or may not be potty trained and who are not ready to spend most of the day outside. This safe, fun and nurturing program is staffed with experienced professionals specializing in early childhood education as well as ski instruction. Cubs on Skis is a safe, fun and rewarding program that is staffed with experienced professionals specializing in early childhood education. Indoors or outdoors, kids will love all the new, stimulating experiences. Cubs on Skis have their own private learning area right outside of the Treehouse at Snowmass or at the Panda House at Buttermilk. When indoors, your child will enjoy age-specific rooms with unique attributes with low child-to-Pro ratio.
Snowmass Bears and Buttermilk Pandas is the program for children ages 3 and 4 who are and ready to spend most of their day outside! Our specially trained pros love working with younger kipotty trained ds while using games and play to encourage learning including the Skier Responsibility Code. In Snowmass the kids are in the Bear program, and at Buttermilk they are in the Panda program. Bears & Pandas are often seen cruising the slopes!
Times: - Full day 9:30 m - 3:00pm - Morning Half day 9:30am – 12:30 pm Drop your child off ready to go no later than 9:15am and please plan on arriving early on the FIRST day to fill out required paperwork.
Includes: childcare, lesson, lift, and equipment, lunch and snacks
Reservations are required. Reservations cancelled within 48 hrs. of program start date will be charged the full amount of that day’s childcare. To cancel when in resort, please call 970-923-0563 for Snowmass or 970-920-0935 for Buttermilk.
Rentals: Equipment can be picked up at the Treehouse Kids’ Adventure Center in Snowmass Base Village or at the Panda House located at the base of Buttermilk.
Meeting Location: - Snowmass Ages 2 ½ - 4 years and not potty trained check in at the Treehouse Kids’ Adventure Center on level 1 (street level) for the Cubs on Skis Program. 3-4 years old and potty trained check in inside the Treehouse Kids’ Adventure Center on level 2 for the Bears Program. - Buttermilk Ages 2 ½ - 4 years and not potty trained check in at the Panda House for the Cubs on Skis Program. 3-4 years old and potty trained check in at the Panda House for the Panda Program.
What to bring: Please label all items. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. - Waterproof coat, snow pants, boots, hat, mittens, goggles or sunglasses - Change of clothes (extra underwear, pull-ups, or diapers) - Sunscreen and lip protection
Special Concerns: Please note that young children occasionally experience separation problems. Here are some suggestions to help your child adjust to the experience. - Avoid letting this be your child’s first experience away from you. - It is helpful if the child has learned to trust other adults (babysitters or caregivers) - Talk to your child about how much fun he or she will have in the program before your arrival. - Tell your child where you will be and when you will return. - If possible, come for a short visit the day before your reservation. - Our goal is for your child to have a wonderful experience! If your child has a difficult time adjusting, you will be contacted so together we can decide what is best for your child.
Health: Your child’s health is important to us. Please notify us of any health problems or medication requirements. We reserve the right to refuse any child due to illness to ensure the health of the other children.
Medication: If medication is to be administered, parents must sign a medical release instructing us how and when the medication is got be given to the child. All medication must be in the original container with the written instructions from the physician clearly marked. We are not allowed to dispense over the counter medicine without a written physician order.
