Ages 2 ½ to 4 – Cubs on Skis Group Lessons This specially designed program is for children who may or may not be potty trained and who are not ready to spend most of the day outside. This safe, fun and nurturing program is staffed with experienced professionals specializing in early childhood education as well as ski instruction. Cubs on Skis is a safe, fun and rewarding program that is staffed with experienced professionals specializing in early childhood education. Indoors or outdoors, kids will love all the new, stimulating experiences. Cubs on Skis have their own private learning area right outside of the Treehouse at Snowmass or at the Panda House at Buttermilk. When indoors, your child will enjoy age-specific rooms with unique attributes with low child-to-Pro ratio.
For children who are potty trained and ready to spend most of their day outiside – we have a program just for them! Buttermilk Pandas program is for 3 & 4 year old skiers at Buttermilk. The Snowmass Bears program is for 3 & 4 year old skiers at Snowmass. Our specially trained pros love working with younger kids while using games and play to encourage learning – including the Skier Responsibility Code. Bears & Pandas are often seen cruising the slopes! Our pros are specially trained and love working with younger kids.
Ages 5 and 6 Group Lessons For skiers & snowboarders! Our program for ages 5 and 6 is fondly called GRIZZLIES. This program is designed for little rippers that are on skis or a snowboard for the first time as well as for those who have been shredding it up their entire short lives. It's all about fun and safety on the slopes for this energetic group. Grizzlies Pros are specially trained, love working with kids and make learning fun Pros lead kids through creative drills designed to increase their skiing & riding skills Know the code! Our Pros incorporate the Skiers Responsibility Code in every lesson Special events include the Winter Wild Things Native Animal Exploration and race days Program includes lesson, lunch and lift ticket.
Ages 7 to 12 Group Lessons Experienced Pros share their wealth of knowledge and instill and appreciation for the mountain environment. Their passion is contagious and kids enjoy perfecting their skiing or snowboarding skills while they develop a love for the sport. Kids will learn in a supportive and fun environment while developing confidence and life skills Gain a solid understanding of the safety aspects involved with snow sports. Our Pros incorporate the Skier Responsibility Code in every lesson Enjoy kids their own age and create lasting friendships Explore the mountain! Try new skills, terrain and snow conditions based on appropriate skill development. Experience the thrill of the park & pipe and/or race course with our expert coaches. Kids enjoy group lessons so much they will not want the vacation to end! For skiers & snowboarders, beginners to experts.
Ages 13 to 17 TEEN Group Lessons Coaching happens and skills develop while teens are having fun! Daily ski or snowboard group lessons, based on ability, can include coaching for park & pipe, big mountain, bumps, carving, racing and freestyle. Teens compete with new friends at such specials events as Lowdown Showdown Park Challenge, School Race Day and NASTAR. Our Pros teaching this age group specialize in working with teens and our teens enjoy group lessons so much they return year after year! For skiers & snowboarders, beginners to experts. After School Freestyle Learn to shred under the lights from 4-6 pm! After the mountain closes beginner and intermediate freestylers learn how to slide boxes and rails with our Ski & Snowboard School freestyle Pros. Located slopeside at the Treehouse and serviced by a beginner surface lift, all ages are welcome and encouraged to take a prive or group lesson or just listen to the music and watch the fun!
