Start Details: Snowmass Base Village at 8:00am (solo racers) and 8:10am (team racers)
Finish Details: The race will finish at the base of Aspen Mountain in front of the deck at Ajax Tavern.
Registration: Pre-registration will be available online, here, in early Summer. There will not be day of registration.
Mandatory* Racer Check-in: All racers must check-in on date TBA, all team members need to check-in though you do not have to check-in with your teammate. Each racer will need to sign a waiver and pick up a racer bib. We will also have a gift bag for each racer. A downloadable copy of the mandatory waiver will be available here this Summer.
* If you are coming in from out of town and are unable to check-in the night before you MUST email Buck Erickson (jerickson@aspensnowmass.com) to arrange morning-of check-in.
Parking/ Transportation: Parking is available for free in the Snowmass Parking Garage (make sure to take your bike off the roof rack before pulling in) there is also free parking available at the Tiehack parking lot. There is parking in Aspen for a fee.
Racer Bags: Each racer will be allowed to deposit one dry bag at the start that will be shuttled to the finish line or a relay spot for pick-up. (Note: in an effort to reduce waste we will not provide a dry bag, please bring your own).
Relay Teams: Relay Station 1 (Teams of 4) – Start of Government Trail (parking is available on top of Wood Run Road, other options is to load the gondola at 9:50am or event staff will provide you with a ride) Relay Station 2 (Teams of 2 & 4) – Tiehack Parking lot (parking is available for free at the Tiehack parking lot) Relay Station 3 (Teams of 4) – Congo Trail Parking lot off of Castle Creek Road; across from Midnight Mine Road (Parking is not available please park in the Tiehack Parking lot or in Aspen)
Course Marking: The course will be marked with red/white striped tape and directional signage with the event logo.
Aid Stations: See maps for Aid Station locations. Each Aid Station will have water, Clif electrolyte mix and Clif Bar products.
Cut-Off Times: To ensure racer safety we will have two cut-off times and locations. The first cut-off will be at Noon at Tiehack parking lot. The second will be at 1:30pm at the top of the Congo Trail.
Normal Mountain Operations: We ask each racer to keep in mind that Snowmass and Aspen Mountain will be open to guests as usual starting at 10am. Also Government Trail is open to the general public on race day so please be respectful of the general public on the trails.
Racer Safety: For the safety of every racer, each athlete is required to notify the closest course marshal of any injury or racer who appears to have ventured off-course ASAP. We will have plenty of medical staff available to assist along the course.
Racer Family Lift Tickets: We will be offering 50% off vouchers for family members of racers who wish to watch/cheer from the top of Aspen Mountain. Vouchers will be available at registration.

After Party & Award Ceremony brought to you by Ajax Tavern: After finishing the race we’d like to invite all racers to cheer on the other racers from 1pm to 6:30pm on the Ajax Tavern deck for Free Budweiser and Bud Light, a choice of a Ajax Double, Double Burger or Tavern Salad. Awards will be at 6:30pm. Friend and family are invited but beer and food will only be provided to racers.
* Must be 21+ to consume alcohol, other beverages will be available for purchase.
