Aspen/Snowmass Offers Food & Drink Good Enough to Stop the Action on the Slopes

1.  NEW Sam's Smokehouse- located at the top Village Express and Sam's Knob chairlifts, Sam's Smokehouse on Snowmass, will be offering true down home BBQ.  The 7,900 square foot restaurant will have 170 indoor seats, 50 outdoor seats, a coffee and bar area and a picnic lunch deck.

2.  NEW Sneaky's Tavern - Located adjacent to The Treehouse and mere steps from the Village Express, Sneaky's Tavern will no doubt be a very popular destination for those looking to enjoy each other's company in a relaxing and comfortable setting.  Offering both indoor and outdoor bar/dining seating.  American bistro style cuisine will be served at lunch, après and dinner.

3.  Fries and Mojitos at The Ajax Tavern, Aspen Mountain – Nothing better than sitting outside at the base of Aspen Mountain enjoying a monstrous bowl of world class truffle fries and sipping on a freshly made mint mojito. Ajax Tavern offers people the opportunity to enjoy fabulous food and drink on the area's jazziest deck.

4.  Raclette at Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro, Aspen Highlands - This mid-mountain bistro offers guests a fine dining experience like no other. Situated beneath the summit of the Cloud Nine high-speed quad this alpine ski hut offers not only incredible scenic views but the very best European cuisine created by Chef Andreas Fischbacher. Order the raclette in advance and enjoy a true Austrian experience as you cook your own meats and cheeses on a mini-grill on your table.

5.  Up 4 Pizza, Snowmass - Serving a variety of toppings, this authentic pizzeria dishes out delicious New York style pizza enabling mountain guests to grab a bite to eat on there way up or down the Big Burn on Snowmass Mountain. While you are there, put a pin on the map of the world and let guests know where you are from.

6.  Pasta at Bumps, Buttermilk – Located below the famous X Games half pipe, offers wide variety of healthy, innovative dishes. The cooking staff on hand is ready to make to order everything from hand tossed Caesar salad to fresh pasta. Chef Henrietta Oliver is known for her incredible pasta specialties for those extra carbs you need to tear up the slopes.

7.  Mongolian BBQ at the Cliffhouse, Buttermilk - Nestled at the top of Buttermilk Mountain with amazing views of Pyramid Peak, the Cliffhouse offers skiers and riders a warm place to take a break. While inside they can treat themselves to the popular "make your own" Mongolian grill which offers a huge variety of vegetables, beef, chicken, pork, shrimp, tofu and delicious sauces.

8.  Pad Thai at the Sundeck, Aspen Mountain - Thai food atop a North American mountain?  Yes, and its great!  The Sundeck restaurant located at 11,200 feet on Aspen Mountain offers a variety of Thai dishes for around $12.  Just a few feet from the top of the gondola, The Sundeck welcomes skiers, riders and foot passengers for food with amazing views.

9.  Strudel and other yummies from Bonnie's, Aspen Mountain - Located on Aspen Mountain the two-tiered deck famously known as Bonnie's is filled with some of the best treats to take care of anyone's sweet tooth. Guests make the journey to Bonnie's to sit out on the sun-drenched deck and enjoy the famous apple strudel.

10.  Chicken George at Gwyn's, Snowmass - The incredible combination Swiss cheese, bacon and chicken topped off with a pineapple ring, is simply heaven. Round off the meal with Gwen's famous chocolate-peanut butter bar and hit the slopes to burn it off.
