Things to Know

2011 CAMP ASPEN/SNOWMASS - THINGS TO KNOW
CAMP HOURS 
Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4 p.m.

CAMP DATES:
June 2 - September 2, 2011.  Select programming early season between June 2 - June 17 and late season, after August 20.

LOCATION & TELEPHONE
The Treehouse Kids' Adventure Center is located at 120 Carriage Road in Snowmass Village.

DROP OFF:
Aspen: 8-8:30 a.m. at Yellow Brick Schoolhouse (between First & Garmisch on Bleeker St.)
Must be 4 years old to ride the bus.  No exceptions due to licensing.

Snowmass:  8-9 a.m. at the Treehouse.  Drop off parking area located in front of building in the circle drive.  Please bring your child to the plaza level to check in.  Arrivals after 9:30 may not be accommodated.

PICK UP:
Aspen & Snowmass: 3:45 p.m. at locations listed above.  Inquire about late pick-up arrangements. 

LUNCH:
NOT INCLUDED for ages 3-14.
-  You may bring your own lunch (must be peanut free)
-  You may purchase lunch at camp:  $5.00 for 3-4 year olds and $10 for 5-14 year olds
-  If you are enrolled in the 8-14 Adventure Camp, you may purchase at the mall (Staff will supervise).
-  LUNCH IS INCLUDED for the Cubs Program.

WHAT TO BRING:
Dress appropriately for the scheduled activities.  Please LABEL EVERYTHING.  Make sure to include proper footwear for hiking and outdoor activities, light waterproof jacket, hat, water bottle, swim suit & towel when scheduled.  Please provide a change of clothes for young campers.

CANCELATION POLICY:
Special Activities (i.e. Horseback riding, Rafting, Private Lessons) are non-refundable unless canceled at least 48 hours in advance.  Daily "reservations" must be canceled by 3:00 p.m. at least one day prior for full refund.  Tickets without reservations are fully refundable.

ENROLLMENT PROCEDURES:
Parents are required to fill out enrollment papers on or before the first day of attendance.  As a state licensed facility, the following forms are required:
- Information and Medical Release Form
- Activity participation, waiver and release agreement
Due to licensing requirements, campers who attend camp 10 or more days must bring the following: 
1. Medical Information form.  (Children 5 yrs. and under must have signed by physician)
2. Copy of immunization record  -

PARENTS' RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sign the child in/out daily and provide an emergency phone numbers.
- Provide Camp with a list of authorized adults who can pick up the child.  Camp will require proof of identification at pick up.  If your child is allowed to walk home or take the bus independently, you must complete an authorization release form.
- Sign an authorization release if your child is allowed to purchase lunch unsupervised on the Mall.
- Sign a release form for special activities.
- Complete a medical release form for prescribed medicine if necessary.
- Provide Camp with payment for daily and special programs.

CAMPERS' CODE OF CONDUCT
- Campers need to respect each other and staff. 
- No cursing, hitting, punching, biting, spitting, or bullying.
- We maintain an age-appropriate environment. We do not tolerate inappropriate language & actions.
- Vandalism directed at our property or the property of others is a malicious act and will not be tolerated.
- We will not tolerate the presence of any type of weapon, including pocket knives.
- Physical violence or acts of harassment will not be tolerated.
- Violation of the above rules can and may result in removal from the program. 
- All campers must sign this code along with their parents.

IN CASE OF ILLNESS OR ABSENCE:
Please call Camp by 7:30 a.m.  We have an answering machine on 970-923-8733.  Please do not bring a child to Camp who has a cold, sore throat, rash, diarrhea or fever or who has vomited in the past 24 hours.  If your child develops any of these symptoms during the day, you will be contacted immediately and asked to pick up your child within the hour.  Your child's exposure to, or exhibiting symptoms of, any communicable disease should be reported to our staff, and it will be posted for other parents. 

ADMINISTERING MEDICATION:
Consent to administer all medications must be filled out by a parent with a staff member present.  The medication must be in its original container stating dosage and frequency.  The medication needs to be prescribed by a doctor.  Children with allergies that require a special epipen must fill out a special form.  Please let us know of any allergies so that we can give your child an allergy tag.  Camp Aspen/Snowmass is a nut-free zone.
