COURSE OUTLINE
  1. Introduction to the Third Year Course: Objectives; requirements; lab week details.
    Review of Past Performance in E296 and E396: Skier journals; instructor evaluations; and ski videos for technique analysis.

  2. Introduction to Advanced Readings and Materials: Review of the texts, authors and subject content.
    Selection of an Individual Research Topic: Identification of interests and skiing skills.

  3. High Performance Equipment: Review of new ski products, intended applications and appropriateness for individual skiers during lab week.

  4. Cultural Social Context of Skiing: Alteration of the skiing experience by social and cultural events; role of the corporate influence and real estate.
  5. High Performance Achievement: Application of the Sports Diamond psychology to the third year ski experience.
  6. Development of the Skier Journal: Details for laboratory week.
