Camp Aspen Snowmass  - Shere all summer-long families are spoiled for choice. Toddlers can enjoy art and music at the Treehouse Adventure Center, young children can learn about the magic of nature, and teens can build their confidence with thrilling activities. If only summer camp was this cool when we were kids. Bluegrass Sundays on Aspen Mountain featuring Monocle Band (August 3) - A favorite among locals, Sundays feature top bluegrass musicians from around Colorado performing in this ideal Rocky Mountain setting. The free open-air concerts are held from noon to 3 pm on Sundays just outside the Sundeck (on top of Aspen Mountain). The lineup varies each week.

Saturday Classical Music - Take in the beauty as students of the world-renowned Aspen Music Festival perform a repertoire of their own choosing. FREE performances begin at 1 pm on Saturdays in the concert meadow at the top of Aspen Meadow.

Valhalla Nights (August 1)  -  Join friends and family for an evening adventure at altitude with live music, outdoor activities and an à la carte culinary celebration with Valhalla Nights on select Tuesdays and Fridays from 4 pm - 8:30 pm (last ride down at 9 pm). Included with valid daily lift access, or $8 per person after 4 pm. Bike Snowmass just $29 after 2 pm (bike haul until 7 pm).

Walk on the Wild Side at the Ice Age Discovery Center, Snowmass (July 30) - Join us for a discussion lead by Gerry Zobel from 4:30 - 5:30 pm. There will be a hike to follow up the Rim Trail above the reservoir for a glaciology/geology walking lecture. Come prepared to hike and provide your own transportation to the trailhead. The Ice Age Discovery Center is located on the Snowmass Village Mall.

Maroon Bells Birthday Bash at Aspen Highlands (August 2) - People will be partying like its 1964 at Aspen Highlands when the Aspen community throws as 50th birthday bash for its beloved Maroon Bells. The party will be a family friendly - complete with cake and candles. The festival will run from 3  - 9 pm and feature live music by the Shook Twins, Paper Bird, Halden Wofford & the Hi-Beams and Let them Roar as well as an address by author/activist Rick Bass, a Ute Nation Ceremony, kids' activities and wilderness displays. Advance tickets are available for $10 for adults ($15 day-of) and kids 12 and under are free. Click here for tickets and information.

Audi Power of Four Races Series (August 2- 3) - Race the upcoming Power of Four Mountain Bike and Trail Run as a team of two or four with each team member covering a portion of the course. This is a great way to get out with friends and family to compete alongside the best athletes in the region. Snowmass Thursday Night Summer of Free Music featuring California Honeydrops (July 31) - Snowmass' ever-popular free concert series is back for another summer, drawing crowds by the thousands to a comfortable outdoor venue with a spectacular mountain backdrop. Bring a blanket or low lawn chair and a picnic basket of finger foods for the ultimate al fresco experience. Snowmass Rodeo - Celebrating 41 years, the exciting and authentic Snowmass Rodeo is the longest running rodeo in Colorado. This authentic event takes place every Wednesday evening throughout the summer through mid-August. Guests will experience a night of wholesome family entertainment and see a real rodeo.
