TERRAIN PARKS AT ASPEN/SNOWMASS - FACTS & STATS

Aspen/Snowmass Village, CO…Year after year, Aspen/Snowmass continues to push the limit with parks and pipes. You'll find everything from beginner parks where you can learn the basics, to extreme halfpipe action in Crazy T'rain Park.

PARK LAYOUT

    Buttermilk's Crazy T'rain Park, first opened during the 2001-2002 season, and will be improved and expanded once again for 2004-2005. The park, home of the 2002, 2003, 2004 and now the 2005 ESPN Winter X Games IX, features a superpipe, over 30 rails and 30 jumps, including table tops, hips and spines on the advanced side and easier tables, hits and spines for intermediate riders. This year the features from the ESPN Winter X Games IX will remain in tact in the Crazy T'rain Park at Buttermilk for the duration of the season!

    Snowmass Pipeline Park consists of a beginner pipe, intermediate pipe, a superpipe and over 30 hits and rails-perfect for every level of riding. Pipeline is accessed off the Coney Glade and Sam's Knob lifts. Funnel beginner Terrain Park, accessible from the Funnel lift, runs down Funnel.

    Riding Level

    • Buttermilk: beginner, intermediate & advanced
    • Snowmass: beginner, intermediate & advanced

    Grooming

    • Buttermilk: Zuagg pipe cutter and snowcats- pipe cut 5 times a week.
    • Snowmass: New Zaugg cutter and snowcats-pipe cut 5 times a week.

    Half Pipes

    • Buttermilk:1 superpipe 500 feet long
    • Snowmass:1 superpipe 500 feet long, 1 intermediate halfpipe 250 feet long; 1 beginner halfpipe 150 feet long.
