Aspen/Snowmass Village, CO…From decades of teaching skiing and riding, the pros of the Ski & Snowboard Schools of Aspen/Snowmass know that when you ski/ride better you have more fun. Currently, the Aspen/Snowmass Ski School has six people, more then any other resort, on the national Demo Team. Snowmass is also home to the Colorado Instructor of the Year, David "Squatty" Schuler.

Some program highlights include:

Othello's Rail Riders
Former competitive skateboarder and snowboarder, Othello partners with Aspen Skiing Company to teach advanced snowboarding techniques in a fun, step-by-step progression. Rail rider teaching pros are hand-picked by Othello and are experts in teaching rails to advanced riders. Camp attendees will learn to get on a rail properly, terrain park etiquette, balance, how to land and tricks! The rail camp is designed so riders can get the maximum number of rails and jumps a day. Riders are grouped according to skill level so that each rider progresses fast.

Diamond Sessions
Director of Ski School Operations Weems Westfeldt's Diamond Sessions illustrate a simple truth: there is no learning plateau. This class will remix skiing, and the way you look at it. With the use of the Sports Diamond™, a powerful tool to help achieve mastery and brilliance in any sport, guests learn how to take charge of personal development, design custom lessons, and self-coach. Tache Racing Held at Aspen Mountain and Aspen Highlands, this adult racing program is coached by renowned ski guru Mike Tache. Daily training includes warm up and free skiing exercises followed by a variety of race courses. Gate training will focus primarily on slalom and giant slalom with an occasional day of Super G.

ESPECIALLY FOR…

THE KIDS
Kids can join in on private and group lessons, full or half day at all four mountains. Snowmass offers the Snow Cubs, Big Burn Bears and Grizzlies. At Buttermilk, kids can have fun hitting the slopes with the Powder Pandas. Also look for Park and Pipe private lessons at Snowmass and Buttermilk.

TEENS
Teen Snowmass Steeps Classes for ages12-19 years, are designed to teach how to ski the toughest black and double-black diamond terrain. Othello's Rail Rider Clinics on Aspen Mountain teaches advanced snowboarding techniques including park etiquette, balance, how to land, what not to do and tricks! Park and Pipe Classes - Beginner and intermediate groupand provate lessons are available for kids and teens to learn to kids and teems every day of year and private too Buttermilk and Snowmass.

BABY BOOMERS
When looking to develop programs for the 50+ crowd, instructor Joe Nevin started Bumps for Boomers to emphasize form, not speed, while navigating the moguls. The use of "ski boards" (equipment considerably shorter than typical skis), help students learn about balance and control. And new this year, Bowl for Boomers. As an extension of Bumps for Boomers, spend a day or two with Joe Nevin and work your way up to skiing Highland Bowl.www.bumpsforboomers.com
