GETTING AROUND WHILE YOU'RE HERE

Aspen/Snowmass Village, CO…Getting around Aspen/Snowmass is a breeze. The Roaring Fork Transit Agency (RFTA) provides extensive free bus service between Aspen and Snowmass, extending to other Roaring Fork Valley communities, including Basalt, El Jebel, Carbondale and Glenwood Springs. Hotels, shops and restaurants are within walking distance and taxis, limos and hotel courtesy vans provide service to and from the airport and around town.

Aspen/Snowmass is located in the picturesque Roaring Fork Valley, and Snowmass Village is just 4 miles off Colorado 82 via Brush Creek Road. Just nine miles past Snowmass on Colorado 82, is Aspen. That's 220 miles from Denver via I-70 and Colorado 82, 125 miles east of Grand Junction via I-70 and Colorado 82, and from Eagle County Regional Airport, 70 miles via I-70 and Colorado 82.

Free Buses
The Roaring Fork Transit Authority (RFTA) provides bus service within Aspen and to various points down valley nearly 24 hours a day. During the winter, buses from Aspen to Snowmass are free from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A nominal fee is charged to Snowmass from 4:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. Limited luggage space is available on buses.

Free Shuttles
Transportation around the town and village - Free shuttle buses run from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. between the four mountains. Snowmass Village provides its own free shuttle service throughout the town.

Taxis & Colorado Mountain Express
High Mountain Taxi 970-925-8294 and Colorado Mountain Express 800-525-6363 provide transportation to and from Aspen to Glenwood Springs.

Walk Around Town
Aspen and Snowmass are very pedestrian-friendly towns. Most hotels, shops and restaurants are within short walking distance of each other, and many of the larger lodges provide courtesy van service around town and to/from the airport. Aspen and Pitkin County encourage guests to minimize the effects of traffic within the valley.
